About MeHi, nice to meet you here.
In case we don't know each other yet, my name is Samuel. My last name is Gürtl, which translates to BELT in spoken German, in case you wondered. I'm passionate about photography ever since my mum handed me one of these old single-use cameras. Back then I was four. Twenty years later, I still love shooting photographs and thought it was time to create a small online portfolio. Don't hesitate to contact me if you want a print. As you might have seen, the recurring theme in my shots is nature. Mother earth's beauty is endless in my opinion, and if you landed here, chances are high you feel the same. Let's keep her safe and healthy through changing our behaviours one step at a time. That is also why next to being a photographer, I studied ecological economics and am a fierce promoter of Kate Raworth's Doughnut Economics. Currently, I'm studying Science and Technology Studies and volunteer at the Degrowth Conference 2021. When I'm not busy taking pictures or studying, I'm playing beach volleyball or walking my dog Nero. He is my companion on most of my shoots and always keeps the mood up. Thanks for stopping by, soon there will be prints of my pictures available. Cheers, stay safe and take care! |
